Hunter Sealy grew up in the small, blue-collar town of Senatobia Mississippi, just 30 minutes south of blues capital, Memphis Tennessee.
If one thing's certain, it's his love for pure country music mixed with the rawness of southern rock and blues. This infatuation started with his family and the southern culture he hails from.
Musicians such as George Jones, Merle Haggard, Vince Neil, The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Sonny Boy Williamson inspired Hunter, who always listened to old cassettes. The list is endless, "I grew up listening to these musicians. If you were in my Grandpa's garage helping work on old cars, you'd hear this in the background." His Grandfather, Richard F., had boxes full of cassettes and records - the kind that would soon inspire Hunter's path to making music.
This E.P. is a mixture of Country and Americana, mixed with undertones of southern rock, all tying back to Hunter's beginnings and the relationships he developed along the way. Aside from representing his roots, it's an indication of the direction Hunter hopes to pursue as a singer-songwriter in the years to come.
