Artist Biography

 

The Jim Menzel Project consists of Jim Menzel on guitars and songwriting, Danette Daniels on Vocals, Gary Lickness on Bass guitar and Vaughn Link on drums.  The members have played in various bands with each other, before forming the Jim Menzel Project.  We recorded the CD "Midnite Shadows" in the fall and winter of 2013.  Thanks for your interest.  JMP

Jim Menzel has been playing Guitar and writing songs for many years.  He has played in many cover and original music bands.  He draws inspiration for the rich music scene in Minneapolis, as well as many other areas.  60's, 70's and 80's music flavor the mix.  He draws upon many styles of music including, Soul, Hard Rock, Rock, Blues and Pop. 

 

Danette Daniels is the Vocalist.  And what a vocalist she is.  She has sang with a number of bands, including the Driveline Band with Jim.  Her powerful vocals, set the JMP apart.

Gary Lickness is the Bass guitarist.  He has played in many bands, including Big Daddy and the B-3's with Jim.

 

Vaughn Link plays the Drums.  He is in a band with Gary.
