We're Clueless Ruler and we're determined to bring rock back - the kind of rock that gets into your soul and makes you want to shout along with a vengeance! NOT middle-of-the-road, safe, sanitized music - life's too short for shit like Coldplay! We're here to remind the world of the power of raw music, and we hope you'll come along for the journey: let's wake the world up out of its cookie-cutter, disposable music trance and remind the world what a couple of raw guitars, a Marshall stack on 10 and some bad intentions are capable of doing!

 

Clueless Ruler was formed in 2013. We're based out of Vancouver, Canada and feature twin guitar rhythms, driving beats, throbbing bass and gritty vocals which come together in compelling songs with an edge. Our debut EP explores themes of forgiveness, disenchantment, conformity and freedom, all in a way that gets your heart pumping, your body moving and your fists pounding!

 

We're influenced and inspired by a ton of bands, artists and things, but in particular: Alice In Chains, Guns n' Roses, Seether, Ozzy (particularly Randy Rhoads era), pre-Napster Metallica, Soundgarden and Staind move us. So do M.C. Escher and Edvard Munch. We also admire Pink Floyd, Supertramp, the Payolas and many others, but we like to think we carve out a sound all our own.

Clueless Ruler Releases Debut Album August 29th and Vows to Bring Rock Back

 

Vancouver, Canada - Clueless Ruler, a rock band formed in 2013 and based in Vancouver, Canada released their debut, self-titled EP August 29, 2013. The six song collection is available digitally or on disc at iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, Bandcamp and other online music web sites, as well as select retailers globally. Clueless Ruler simultaneously released the band's first single, "Your Time Is Up".

 

Recorded at Bryan Adams' Warehouse Studios and mastered by Bob Ludwig (Radiohead, U2, Metallica, Bruce Springsteen), Clueless Ruler's debut EP fuses dual guitars with heavy bass counter-melodies and gritty vocals. The songs touch on themes of disenchantment, conformity, freedom and forgiveness. Martin Lynch, guitarist and songwriter for the band, said, "We got tired of hearing the same old middle-of-the-road, safe, pre-packaged music on the radio. Our goal is to bring real, hard-edged rock back. The kind of music that gets your heart racing and your fists pumping and might even be a little dangerous, heaven forbid. We think that kind of music has been missing in action for quite some time now, and we've made it our mission to bring it back!"

 

To celebrate the release, the band hosted an EP Release Party at the Roxy nightclub in Vancouver, Canada, where the new disc was played to 225 invited guests before the band took the stage and performed all the songs live. Six cameras captured the performance and a video release is expected before Christmas.

 

Clueless Ruler is influenced by Alice In Chains, Seether, pre-Napster Metallica, Ozzy, Soundgarden, Guns n' Roses and others.
